I wish I had never gone traveling . . .

I love to travel. Love the adventure, the different cultures, the people, the sights, the education, the beauty! Just love it! A little hard to believe since I was in a plane crash when I was 12, but that's another story. I've been blessed to have had many opportunities to travel and thus far have been to Barbados, China, Costa Rica, Taiwan, Mexico, Canada, England, Scotland, Ireland, France, Italy, Germany, Spain, Austria, Switzerland, Grenada, St. Vincent & the Grenadines, Jamaica, the Cayman Islands and Wales for a grand total of 20 countries not including the United States.

My hubby, before meeting me, had been only to Mexico. But now, in his current job, he's been racking up some countries too. Exotic ones like India! I'm starting to get a little envious of some of his more recent adventures!

But together, we've have some amazing travel experiences. Like on our honeymoon to Costa Rica---before I had a digital camera of any sort. . .

and this trip to Grand Cayman and Jamaica!

 

We've also been to Paris together--truly a romantic city. . .

and we've been to Hawaii (both Maui and Kauai on 2 separate occasions)--not a different country, but a travel adventure and a place of such beauty. . .

And our most recent out of country visit together was to Vancouver (you can read about our trip here). What an awesome city! So pretty, such culture and so many places to explore! 

If I ever took the time to create a bucket list, I think the majority of the list would be to travel to this or that country. Both my hubby and I have a passion to travel. We have a huge desire to learn about other people and cultures. We are trying to teach our children that there is life outside of our city, state and country. And while they've never been out of the country (yet), they've covered a good portion of the US in their short lives.

We all know that traveling is expensive. If it weren't, you can bet we would have covered even more of the world! And now that we are a 6 person family, it will be harder to do so. BUT, we are huge believers in the thought that experiences are worth more than possessions and I 100% believe this. . .
