The past few years Luke's birthday has fallen during our school's fall break. One year we were gone for Disney, the next year, we were off to Waco and this year, we were on our way back from a trip to DC to visit grandparents and cousins.
And to be honest, I don't think we snapped a traditional morning photo with the birthday boy!! But, we did celebrate him! While we were in DC, we had a combo birthday party for Luke, Miles and Great-Grandmom with a pizza & cupcakes and cousins!
And once we were back home that afternoon on his birthday, we celebrated more! Luke asked to go to the Germantown Commissary for dinner---it was a yummy BBQ treat! Aunt Mary and Uncle Kevin even joined us for dinner!
Oh, precious Lukey, you are so dear to our family! What a true leader you are! We are so very proud of you! You are wanted, needed and loved by all of us! Your kindness to others and compassion for those in need (including animals :-)) is so very special.
We pray that as you grow this year, the Lord will grow your confidence in Him! That you will find your worth in Him and in Him only!
You hold my heart! I have treasured these 10 years of being your Mom!
We love you so very much!
Happy 10th Birthday, Luke!
PS---We know you are still choosing a small, fun outing to finish the celebration! ;)
