off to college--I mean SK and 2nd grade!

It's been quickly approaching and I've been dreading it. In tears over it, actually. The start of school. Good in so many ways, but still. Still there's the whole part about our oldest 2 littles being gone all day. All day. Chuckles is in Kindergarten now. Official as of yesterday, and Kindergarten is all day.

Did I mention that? Uggh! And our Lukey is a 2nd grader! Oh my goodness--such big boys, these two.

We had such a sweet summer! Maybe I appreciated it this year even more, because last summer was just NUTS with moving, and having a baby. I don't know, but I'm so thankful for the fun times we had together this summer. I didn't "check off" as much as I initially hoped to do (with crafts, games, etc.), but we soaked up together time and relationally just had a fantastic summer. Isn't that what it's all about anyway? Sometimes we need the fun, cute ideas from Pinterest, and sometimes we need to just let things happen as they do! I loved the relationships that blossomed between L & C and the way Miles adored his big brothers, but also came right back to his baby brother. I loved watching them all grow in ways that I couldn't sit down and teach. The summer that's full of freedom and exploring--that's heaven for little boys. And, heaven for this Mommy too!

And I can't change that school has started. And somewhere I know that once we get past this week, I will be thankful for all they are learning and for our new routine. I will enjoy doing things with just Miles and Way for a bit, and then welcome home our oldest 2 once again! But I know for certain we will miss these 2 while they are gone!

Sheesh! I sound like we are sending them off to college!! I love these buddies!

Completely understand! It was such a weird feeling knowing Jack was in "big" school and not PDO anymore.

Those are the cutest pictures! Two brothers who love each other dearly and the three of them running in the field is priceless. Mimi
