Welcome home, Baby Charlie!

Here are some quick pics from the hospital. These are the ones Chad wanted to post earlier. What a blessing to have baby Charlie here and healthy! Our first full day home has been wonderful. Our first night last night---not so much! Little Charlie decided not to sleep last night and instead wanted to eat and cry. But, hey, we didn't expect much different. I remember thinking around 4:30am after being awake for a long time already, I wish I could call and chat with some friends now, but I knew you would all be asleep!!

My mom helped us so much today by letting us sleep some while Luke slept, making lunch and dinner, playing with Luke while I fed Charlie and holding Charlie while we played and read with Luke. God has been answering our specific prayers and it was so comforting in the middle of the night to have His word coming to my mind and just reminding me that He is with us through all of our sleepless nights and most joyful days! Thank you for all of your emails, phone calls, visits and comments. You all mean so much to us and we are thrilled to share this happy time with you!

He is just so, so precious. Does he look like Luke? I can't tell. In the wee hours of the sleepless nights, when sometimes all I could do was cry, I was comforted by the verse, "Jesus wept." Ok, I'm sure there is something theologically wrong my linking of that verse with my circumstances, but anyhow, it alwasy came to mind. Pray for your family of 4.

My Charlie is tied for the 4th most beautiful baby boy in the entire world! Rub his head and kiss his belly from Auntie. Patrick wanted to convey his excitement for all 3 of you and that 'dems some feet! We miss him already. Love, K
