Just the three of us

Last week, Chad came up with a brilliant and spontaneous plan--to go to Destin for Valentine's weekend! So, we made arrangements for our doggy and headed out of town! What a special weekend God had in store for us! It was the last vacation we will take just the three of us (before our new bundle of joy arrives) and we soaked up some Mommy, Daddy and Lukey time. It was wonderful!!

Luke loved the beach--he's been several times before, but had a blast again! The first day we took a long walk down the beach and he enjoyed running in the sand, watching the seagulls and finding seashells. He kept telling us he wanted to put the seashells in a bucket. I kept wondering where that thought came from, and then remembered he has a Dora book that talks about finding seashells with Boots and putting them in buckets. The next day, we had a bucket for him to do just that! We also brought some trucks down from the condo and he enjoyed pushing the sand with his bulldozer and dumping sand into and out of his dumptruck (he's such a boy)!

We truly had a fabulous time! We were able to just lounge around--something I'm sure we won't be able to do soon. Chad was SO sweet and let me just take my time getting up (one of my favorite things to do is lay in bed for a while after waking up). The weather was great and it wasn't crowded, compared to our usual summer trips, so we decided that Florida in February might just become a Jackson family tradition! We read some books, ate yummy food, played with toys, enjoyed our time together and God's awesome creation! One of my favorite comments from Luke was about the ocean. He asked us, "Does the ocean stop?" We told him "No, God keeps the ocean going all the time!" So, when we walked on the beach we asked Luke, "Who made the ocean and the beach?" He'd answer, "God made the ocean and he keeps it going! It never stops."

Mesmerized by the ocean! Aren't we all??

"Hey Mommy! I found a seashell!"

My adorable boys!

Awww, Mommy gets a kiss!

Chad buried Luke's feet in the sand and Luke loved it!!! Finding his feet was the best part!

So fun! Your pics are great, and you are the smallest pregnant person! I just read Amber's comment about Luke looking like Chad, but I was thinking he looked just like you in the pics! I guess he is the perfect combination!

Aw, Lil Luke is getting so big! I can almost see your belly, too! After reading your blog last night-I had a dream we were hanging out, catching up on old times. Aww, I miss my Miss! It's been so long since we've seen each other!
